Join the Spiderman Cast in Atlanta

While it may be easy to get distracted by all of the rumors surrounding who will be in the upcoming Spiderman cast, it could also be your chance to join the fun by landing a role. Production of this highly-anticipated MCU entry is underway, and it could be your chance to gain performing experience and build your acting resume.

History of MCU’s Spider-Man

After Sam Raimi’s unintentionally comedic Spider-Man 3 (2007) received a far colder reception than the franchise’s previous installments, plans for a fourth film with Toby McGuire as Peter Parker were ultimately scrapped. However, in an attempt to further cash in on the franchise and to retain film rights to the comic-book character, the series would be rebooted just five years later with 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man.

After the second entry into the reboot fell flat and further Amazing Spider-Man films with Andrew Garfield as the titular character were canceled, Sony and Disney finally reached an agreement to include the character of Spider-Man in the MCU. With Hollywood newcomer Tom Holland now taking the role of the famous web-slinger, Spider-Man made an appearance in the MCU’s Captain America: Civil War and received high praise for his performance.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man would earn major roles in the following Avengers films and would take center stage in two standalone films: Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far from Home. Both films earned critical acclaim and solidified Tom Holland’s Peter Parker as a fan favorite among MCU characters, with many claiming his version of the superhero as the best so far.

What We Know About Spider-Man: No Way Home

Easily the least surprising thing about the upcoming entry into the MCU’s Spider-Man is the title, which follows the same formula of the previous two films with the title Spider-Man: No Way Home.

But what’s really been making waves is the abundance of rumors surrounding the new Spiderman 3 cast. While it’s not entirely shocking that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is in the film, his inclusion as Peter Parker’s new mentor in the absence of Tony Stark does explain some of the other eye-popping appearances in the cast.

In particular, Jamie Foxx is confirmed as Electro – from Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Equally as intriguing is Alfred Molina’s inclusion as Doctor Octopus from Sony’s original web-slinger trilogy in 2004’s Spider-Man 2.

But the biggest buzz has surrounded the possibility that Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield would reprise their roles in a multi-verse storyline including all three film versions of Spider-Man. It’s even been rumored that Kirstin Dunst is returning as Mary Jane Watson and that Willem Dafoe will return as the Green Goblin.
